HTTPS
Allows HTTPS request. HTTPS request is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol with the SSL Protocol to provide encryption and secure identification of the server. HTTPS connections are often used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web.

Work Behind Firewalls
Mavis can work behind firewalls without requiring to open a listen port.

Direct Mode
Direct Mode is a connection method that connects you to other peer's proxy server. Direct Mode connection is used when both peers have a open port or the peer you are connecting to has a open port.

Passive Mode
Passive Mode is a connection method that connects you to other peer's proxy server. Passive Mode connection is used when one computer is firewalled and the other computer has a open port. The firewalled computer sends outgoing connections request to the open port computer to establish connection. Connection speed is the same as Direct Mode but it takes a bit longer to establish connection.

Server Relay Mode
Server Relay Mode is a connection method that connects you to other peer's proxy server. Server Relay Mode is used when both sides of the computer are firewalled and connection is made through a server forwarding all the request. This connection method is slower, but allows firewalled computers to be connected.

Connection Priority
When a Proxy server has reached its maximum number of connections, your computer is in queue. Mavis Pro users have priority in the queue.

Form Field Limits
Form filed limits allows you to set the length of a input field to pass through your proxy server.

Keyword Blocking
Keyword Blocking allows you to block keywords that you do not want to pass through your proxy server.

What is a proxy server? A proxy server is a server which services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it would 'cache' the first request to the remote server, so it could save the information for later, and make everything as fast as possible.  What is a Proxy Server?
