Using Proxy P2P to Watch Movies Online Bookmark and Share

By Mavis, March 10 2009

Have you ever exceeded the time limit allowed on MegaVideo? MegaVideo only allows free users to watch movies for 72 minutes. If you want to continue to watch the movie you will have to wait another 8 minutes for the movie to continue. What you can do is to use a proxy server to watch the movie. Once your time limit is up, connect to a proxy server and continue watching the movie without having to wait another 8 minutes. There are many proxy servers available on the Interent. You can join free proxy networks such as Proxy P2P at http://www.mavis.com or use a public proxy server from http://www.free-proxy-server-list.com.

What is a proxy server? A proxy server is a server which services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it would 'cache' the first request to the remote server, so it could save the information for later, and make everything as fast as possible.  What is a Proxy Server?
