Mavis P2P Proxy
Mavis P2P Proxy is a peer-to-peer (P2P) anonymous proxy sharing program. Mavis P2P Proxy is a proxy server and a proxy client, allowing the proxy client on your computer to connect to other peer's proxy server, and at the same time allowing other peer's proxy client to connect to you. Each peer runs an instance of the Mavis program to create the Mavis P2P proxy sharing network. When you want to browse a web site, your browser software (i.e. - Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Opera) send HTTP(S) requests to Mavis P2P Proxy. Mavis P2P Proxy receive the request and forwards it to your peer's computer, hiding your IP Address and computer's identifying information and making your internet activity untraceable.
Why do you need Mavis P2P Proxy?
When you access the Internet, you receive a Internet Protocol (IP) address from your ISP to identiy your computer. The IP Address acts like an address on the Internet to fix your location and can be traced back to your door steps. Every web site you access, the web server can store and log your activites and know which pages you have viewed, which links you have clicked, which files you have downloaded, which products have you viewed but not bought, and so on. Mavis P2P proctects your privacy and hides your IP Address.
There are free public proxy servers posted on the Interent forums that you can use to surf anonymously, but the number of free public proxy server available are limited. Most of the proxy servers posted on the forums are fake or doesn't work. You will probably be spending hours searching for one, if any works. And if you do find one, the free public proxy server is probably very slow becuase it is overloaded with users.
How does Mavis P2P Proxy work?
All you need to do is install the Mavis P2P Proxy on your computer. Then, start Mavis P2P Proxy and sign in to the Mavis Network. Once signed in, you can search for peer's proxy server to connect to. Once connection is establised, configure your browser software with the proxy server settings and begin surfing anonymously.

Is Mavis P2P Proxy safe and secure?
We take security seriously at Mavis and have taken a number of steps to develop our software with current and future security threats in mind. Mavis P2P Proxy is protocol specific. Only the HTTP protocol are shared on the Mavis P2P Proxy. All other protocols are not supported. This prevents other peers from using other protocols such as SMTP, FTP, POP3, or others to send out spam mail or hack your computer. Furthermore, in Mavis P2P Proxy, we block all access to local files and directories so no hacker can user our software to gain access to your computer files.
Mavis does not intercept or log any of your activities. All requests are directly forwarded to the proxy servers. Mavis P2P Proxy does not record any browsing history, by default. If you wish to save your history, you can turn it on in preferences. All history is stored locally on your computer which you can delete at any time.
Mavis uses well-known standards-based encryption algorithms to protect Mavis users' communications from falling into the hands of hackers and criminals. In so doing, Mavis helps ensure user's privacy as well as the integrity of the data being sent from one user to another.
Mavis will work fine even if it is behind a firewall. This is because when Mavis runs on a network behind a firewall, it connects "outward" toward the Internet. Mavis does not in any way modify or interfere with the use of firewalls on the network. No special firewall rules or exceptions are needed.
Mavis P2P Proxy is free of adware or spyware. Mavis protects and maintains your online security and peace of mind. Mavis will not display unwanted and intrusive advertising, or allow any malware or spyware to operate.
